PARA 1& PARA 2
The Parametric series of mic preamps have been designed with two major factors in mind; practical usability and great sound. We have spent many thousands of hours in research and development to bring you what we believe is the most exciting new development in preamp technology
FAQ’s
Q - What new features are incorporated into the PARAMETRIC SERIES?
A - The PARAMETRIC SERIES PARA 1 is the first preamp ever to have a TEXTURE CONTROL, this gives you the ability to control the level of 2nd and 3rd harmonic distortion, what this really means is that YOU control the warmth and overtones of the Pre.
Q - Other than the TEXTURE CONTROL, what makes the PARA 1 sound so different to other Mic Preamps that are available today?
A - There are a few reasons that help the PARA 1 to stand out from the crowd. Firstly, the PARAMETRIC SERIES of Mic Preamps are Hand Made In AUSTRALIA, even our enclosure is manufactured right here in Australia using Australian Steel. All Assembly, Quality Control and Product Development are done right here in our Australian Manufacturing Plant. Secondly, the PARAMETRIC SERIES of Mic Preamps are the only Pres on the market to benefit from the use of VINTAGE SUB MINIATURE MILITARY VACUUM TUBES. Our tubes are all JAN (Joint Army Navy) certified vacuum tubes that have been designed for military use meaning that they are the best of the best. By using these Vintage Tubes, we are able to combine the best of modern passive components with the flavour, incredibly low noise and very high reliability of JAN Vacuum Tubes.
Q - If the PARAMETRIC SERIES utilises Vintage JAN Vacuum Tubes, what happens when they are no longer available?
A - The tubes we use have not been available for many years now, however we have so many that we expect never to run out.
Q - What level of product warranty is extended with the PARAMERTRIC SERIES?
A - All PARAMETRIC SERIES products carry a 5 year product warranty.

TIPS - GET THE MOST FROM YOUR PARA 1
- Upon receiving your PARA1 spend a little time getting to know it, grab a mic and some headphones and have some fun with the GAIN, TEXTURE AND LEVEL controls, this will give you an idea of the types of sounds achievable. Please ensure that you start with the GAIN AND LEVEL controls low as this device has quite a large amplification level (around 60db)
- You will notice that the PARA 1’s gain and level controls achieve maximum volume at about half way, the balance of the control adds colour to the sound. Experiment with this and find the sounds that suit your recording/performance style.
